What exactly is refreshing about Federation Square is a specific familiarity married to full scale formal invention. It is a community setting up – something that a lot of have considered obsolete or nostalgic. To be sure, the formal language and many of the Areas of Federation Square are novel, unfamiliar, and certainly illegible to the public.
